FINALLY I got to feel real snow! WHOOHOO!!! It was sooooo cool! I love it! I wish it would snow here sometimes...actually no maybe I don't but I really liked it!
My cousin's and their kids rented a cabin in Big Bear for Jan. 1-3 and invited me, my sister and brother-in-law along with them. (but we left yesterday Jan. 2). The 3 of us drove up Saturday afternoon...the traffic was crazy! We left at 2:30 and got to the cabin by 7pm. When we got there, I wanted to play in the snow so me and my nieces and nephews (my cousins kids) went nearby to snow, nice soft snow and threw snowballs (some hurt!!!), made snow angels like they do on tv and tried to make a snowman...it looks so easy on tv but it's hard to make! My littlest nephew had somewhat of a sled so we went down some snow with that. Then we all came back and my whole family played the board game Cranium...so fun! We were up late and during the nite I couldn't sleep but I kept looking out the window and our view was the view of the slopes so it was awesome...and you could totally see so many stars in the sky.
Sunday we all took skiing lessons. I didn't like it. I couldn't get the hang of it...I sucked! First of all, it's so hard to stop. The ski instructor sucked too! And we went up the lift thingy and when I got to the top I fell and the other lift almost hit me so they stopped it so I could get out of the way. And coming down the hill was crazy!!! I just wanted to go back on the lift cause that was fun! Though the fear of heights wasn't helping. But it was cool. It's really hard to stop once you get going....the only way I stopped was when I fell. Though falling in the snow was kinda fun. haha But my fingers were so cold they were numb and my mouth too...it's pretty cold up there. But I had a good time...learned something new. And then we had to leave cause there was a snowstorm on the way. Though it would have been nice to see falling snow...maybe next time. And coming home was easy...no traffic except on the 10 freeway but that's normal for LA! haha
