Wow it's 2004 now!! 2003 went by in a flash huh? I had a good time with my nieces and friends last nite ringing in the new year. I'm so excited about this year...so much going on...my sister is getting married in May!! Whoohoo!! So that's gonna be so fun planning and getting ready for. Then spending more time with my friends which is always a plus. And I totally want to go and explore things out of LA this year..I wanna go visit Chicago and New York & visit my friends and see Roland's place before he moves back! My other friend is getting married in India end of this year and I have to try and save up money to go to India! And of course, most importantly, we'll all get to see Lakers take back their championship in June!!

Lakers didn't do so well this weekend...I was disappointed. They lost to the Seattle Supersonics (Gary Payton's old team) on Friday. And then lost last night to the LA Clippers. Karl Malone is still out injured and Shaq is also out with a strained calf. Get well soon both of you!!

My weekend was okay. Friday I had to come into work but left early cause I had to take a friend to the airport. And wow they have soooo much security! For one thing, they didn't have curbside dropoff or pickup available so I had to park, which is no big deal since I had to go to the bathroom anyways! Then when we got in, my friend had to stand in the normal line to check in and then another long line to get the baggage screened through some CT scanning machine. And that's a very slow line. Wow! They are taking all sorts of precautions. Then Saturday I woke up with a bad headache/cough/body aches...so I went out but then came home and rested. My sister and her fiancee's 2 friends came over and we had dinner and watched a movie too. Sunday didn't do much but went to the mall (and surprisingly it took forever to find parking!). And any coffee lovers out there, I suggest you try a coffee place called Gloria Jeans, they have a yummy vanilla chiller drink!! Bring it On was coming on tv...that is a good movie!! It's about cheerleaders competing against one another and it's just fun watching them do their routines. I recommend this movie!

TV tonite was fun! All new Friends...then the new show Apprentice! I'm so sad to see that Friends is ending...that show can just make you laugh and laugh...especially Joey!! Then did anyone see the new show The Apprentice? I thought it was pretty cool. I kinda like these reality tv shows, like Bachelor, Average Joe, Surreal Life, American Idol....
This one is about 16 people competing to be a president of one of Donald Trump's companies. I wanna win!!! From the look of it, the streets of New York don't look that clean, but it looks like such a fun city to visit!

Tomorrow is finally Friday yay! Then sleep in Saturday and Sunday. I'm going out to Indian food with my friends on Saturday and I hope they like it!!

I had a great time with my friends today. I met up with Phuong , Sze Wan , Jeff and Mel today for some Indian food. I think they liked the food so I'm really glad! YAY!!! And Jeff seemed to enjoy the yogurt drink!! It's called mango lassi for the next time you go.
Then we went to the Block (a outdoor shopping mall) and had Starbucks and walked around shop to shop. I had a great time, we'll have to meet again real soon! Next time I hope we'll get to see Dana , Al , and Roland too!!

Tomorrow I'm going with my sister and her fiancee for some appointments they have for their wedding. Whoohoo wedding preparations begin now! I can't wait...5 more months!!

I know it's a kids movie but I rented Santa Clause 2 this weekend and watched it. I really liked it...cause the first one was good so I just had to see 2. I think the first one was better though. I recommend!! But only if you are into kid movies.

On Sunday me, my sister and her fiancee were out all day. We left at 8:30am and didn't come home till like 10pm! My sister and her fiancee are starting to meet with vendors for their wedding so we met with a couple of people for decorations and then we drove all the way to Moorpark (which is even past Simi Valley!!) to meet with someone for photography...dude these people live in a mansion!!! It's HUGE!!! But they are way too expensive. Then we went to the Indian stores and looked for outfits...nothing nice! The best place to go shopping is India but that's kinda too far away! haha Then my family met up at night for a family meeting for the wedding. It was good except for a couple of stuff...like there is a part of an Indian ceremony where the parents give away the daughter. Well since my parents are both passed away it has to be a brother who gives her away, and since we have no brothers then it has to be a cousin brother. Well I'm gonna have to change tradition and say sister is allowed too cause I'm like close blood relative. I should get to do it too! Otherwise it's not fair. Anyways so the fun stress of the wedding preparations begin!

Too many injured Lakers...this is not good!! Get well soon!!! They are saying that Kobe might be out for a couple weeks! I hope he doesn't miss the All Star game cause he's one of the guys in the lead. I vote for him everyday! Or Shaq, he's gonna be center starter, so he has to play too!! Well tonite's game will be interesting, I totally think the others guy will do well! We still have Gary Payton and of course Derek Fisher!!

I make this Gujarati Indian tea every morning (Gujarat is a state in India) and my sister's fiancee (who is Gujarati) taught me. It is soooo yummy...it's made with India tea, sugar, milk, water and an Indian spice...so delicious!! So today we didn't have sugar!! I was bummed...waking up to no tea is no fun!! haha I think I'm addicted!! I need tea anonymous! But that's okay cause I had a good excuse to get myself coffee at Starbucks. My friend Dana got me a gift cert for Starbucks so I got to use that again. Those are sooo handy when I don't have cash in my wallet. Thank you Dana!!!
But one thing I want to start drinking is green tea. I just have to learn how to make it. Cause I was reading somewhere that green tea prevents a bunch of cancers!! Does green tea boba count???

So since we moved into our new house, we've been getting all these cool deals and coupons to go to different stores and restaurants around our area. So one of the coupons we got was cheap haircuts! My sister's fiancee used the $3.99 for boys haircut and today I used the haircut & blowdry for $5.99. I thought that's a pretty good deal since I have so much hair! Well the haircut was cheap but what they weaseled me into buying was not! Ah!! I have such a hard time saying no to these people!! They got me to buy some non-frizzy shampoo, conditioner and cream! I mean it's great and all but what a rip off!! So my sister's fiancee is gonna go return it for me!! I'm too easy when it comes to people selling me stuff! hahah

My weekend was good...Friday nite met up with Dana and Al at Life Plaza in Rowland Heights for dinner and boba. We all ordered the same boba (I copied them! hehe). It was delicious!! It was a strawberry one. The best part is you get a free boba with an entree! Good deal!! Then we went and met up Sze Wan , Cuong, Phuong and John at tea station for more boba! I got milk green tea. It was so yummy!! Phuong was leaving so we wanted to meet up one more time. I had a great time with my friends, as always. Hope you guys had a good drive up!

Now back to work tomorrow...though the cool part is I doubt there will be much traffic since a lot of people will have off tomorrow!

Reality show anxiety disorder...that is what Lena has!! hahah
I'm so hooked! They are so fun to watch!! Last nite I wanted American Idol, which was totally hilarious watching those people who auditioned!! And this morning on the radio, they were totally making fun of the people. Then I watched that new show My Big Fat Abnoxious Fiancee. That was funny too! Then I watched Average Joe. That was good too! There was a twist at the end where 8 hunks arrive...though some were not very hunky!

The sad thing is...I was switching between channels to watch the Lakers game and my Fisher missed the last 2 shots to tie the game. Those were 2 tough loooong 3 point shots though! So that's ok Fisher!! The next 21 out of 28 games are away now!!! AHH!!! That's gonna be tough for the Lakers without the starters! But they can do it.

This morning when I woke up, when I wake up it's still dark outside and the whole house is really dark, well so I get up and the house is making a lot of creaking noises. My sister and her fiancee are still asleep so I get scared. Well I take a shower and then get out get ready, make my tea, and the house is still creaking a lot. So I go outside, and it's soooooooo windy! So I assume (and hope) it was the wind that was making the house seem creepy. I love the wind...it's so nice having your hair flying with the wind! haha So I have to go to the gas station and when I get there, it's more windy! So I take the nozzle off and gasoline starts flying everywhere and got all over my pants and my shoes! I was so mad! Now I have to smell gas all day and And the whole drive to work (1 hour 15 mins) I had to smell gas...and that's yucky cause too much of inhalation of gas can cause cancer. So I was cranky this morning. I think I'm gonna go buy myself green tea boba at lunch!!! WHOOHOO!!

And poor Lakers!!! What is happeneing?!?! I'm a little worried but I know they'll pick up. Kobe, Shaq and Karl, please come back soon!! We need you! If anyone has tickets to a Laker game, I'm more than happy to accompany you!

Sucks to be Monday...and seems like today is not the best of Monday's either. No one seems really happy. Oh well...I'll make them happy!
My weekend was good. I rented Freaky Friday on Friday and me and my sister watched that while her fiancee was watching the Ring downstairs. We were too scared to watch the Ring!
Saturday we went shopping in Downtown LA Fashion District. It was cool!! They have such cheap stuff...I got a really cheap cool top and a cheap bracelet. Lots of people and so much to see...we were so tired by the end. We wanted to go check out the fabric and flower area cause we need to get that stuff for the wedding preparations. Then Saturday nite my cousin had an event at her house for an Indian celebration. It's interesting cause at this celebration, every little girl who is under 12 gets a gift. Darn I'm too old! haha There was about 70 or so people there and I got to see my family so it was a good time. And of course yummy Indian food!
Sunday I met up with my good friend Foula. We went shopping, ate dinner and saw 'Along Came Polly'. It was an ok movie...totally not worth spending money seeing it. Definitely just renting it. I was really disappointed. I still have yet to see Lord of the Rings...everyone has seen it and I don't want to go alone. Plus it won a Golden Globe last nite, 4 of them!! Wow!!

And whoohoo Lakers won!! They finally got out of their losing spree!! Whoohoo!! I hope they keep it up when they play Gary Payton's old team on Wednesday.

Did anyone watch American Idol last nite? They showed the auditions from Los Angeles & San Francisco last nite. In the LA one, my niece's, Anuja, friend was on it!! And he made it to Hollywood! He was the first guy and person who got it! I remember when he sang at her 16th birthday party 2 years ago. Good for him!!
But I was bummed...they alloted a whole hour for auditions in New York, Atlanta and Houston, but only 1/2 an hour for LA and 1/2 for SF! How unfair is that? I would have loved to see more from here. One guy was from Chino Hills...that was exciting, seeing your city name on the screen!!

Beat the Supersonics tonite Lakers!!! Rick Fox *may* play tonite. And Kobe may not. Oh no!
