My weekend was really good. Unfortunately, back to work!

Thanksgiving Thursday I woke up early cause my sister and her fiancee left for San Jose early morning. Then I watched tv and got ready and went to the grocery store to buy stuff to make my 7-layer dip for my family party that nite. I also went to the gym that day. It was not crowded at all which I like. Then at nite I went to my cousin's house and my family had a get-together...it was fun seeing everyone. Even though we meet quite often, it was still fun!

Friday me and my friend met up early early morning and got to Circuit City by 5am! The line wasn't that bad but as the time went on, the line got crazy! We got sooooo much free stuff (after mail in rebates of course). From Circuit City we went to Office Max (which was right next to each other), then Best Buy, Radio Shack and Staples. Then we had breakfast at IHOP (it was yummy). I got (for free) a lava lamp, computer keyboard, mouse, phone, cd case, cd's, CD burner, DVD shelf, RAM (for my niece) and a couple other stuff. It was fun with all the crowds! haha Then I took my sister's fiancee's cousin shopping at Ontario Mills, but we didn't buy anything, just walked around. Then at nite went out with a friend and saw the movie Bad Santa.

Saturday I woke up at my cousin's house (cause I stayed with them since I didn't want to stay home alone) and had breakfast with them and we played with their dog Chloe...she's big and very active! She's a golden retriever and turned 1 year old on Saturday! Then I left went home, got ready and went to the store to buy more stuff for the 7-layer dip for my friend's Dana & Al's potluck. I hope everyone liked the dip...from the compliments I got, I think everyone liked it! YAY!! It was a fun night! And nice to see everyone! And it was Dana's birthday that day. Happy birthday to you!!

It was a great weekend. My sister's fiancee came home with the flu though so hopefully he'll feel better soon. Looks like there's a nasty virus going around.
Oh and people have started putting up their Christmas lights...YAY!!
And Lakers kicked some butt on Friday against the Spurs and yesterday against the Pacers (both good teams)! Go Lakers ....Go Lakers!!! WHOOHOO!!!

Whoohoo Lakers just won the Spurs!! Shaq had a good number of blocks! Go SHAQ!! I only got to see the end of 3rd quarter and all of 4th cause I was stuck in traffic driving home. They should start the game at 7:30!! Oh well!

My week is going OK. I got myself into some predicaments that I need to get myself out of...I think I need to learn to be more 'not nice'. But I can't help being nice! I like to make others happy.

The Miss World pageant is coming this Saturday the 6th and I'm trying to find out what channel and when...but can't...I got to the
Miss World site and they don't give any information. I really wanna watch it cause Miss India is one of the top picks! Cool!!

Today is my niece, Anuja's, 18th birthday! Happy Birthday to you!!

Lakers are kicking a lot of butt these days! I missed last nites games against the Jazz, but I heard they gave up a 21-point lead! But I was reading on the web that the Lakers just got bored...I mean who wouldn't when your up 21 points?!

My weekend was good...I got to see another Indian movie this weekend. This one is called, Kal Ho Na Ho, which translates to tomorrow may come or may not. They made this movie in New York so the background and scenes were cool! It totally makes me want to go visit New York bad and to feel snow! There was this really really cute guy in the movie...he was protraying a DJ for a New York club. So cute!!!

Oh we bought holiday lights this weekend. Since we are living in a new house, my sister wants to decorate! And we got this cool spiral tree that you put outside and it's real popular this year...so many homes in our area have it. It's so cool too!! We saw it on sale at Rite-Aid for $19.99 but it was on Saturday and it was sold out. So my sister's fiancee said let's try Michael's , and it was for $29.99 but 30% off...plus my sister's fiancee had a 40% off coupon. When we got to the line, she ringed it up and it was $13.99!! So score! Good deal!! And we bought a ladder from Home Depot so we're all set! The house will look so decorative. YAY!!!! So come visit me and see!!

The mailman that comes to my work is so cool! Sometimes he'll bring up our mail instead of putting it in the mailbox and say hi and chat for a while. Monday he came up and told me he got to see Lord of the Rings already (he has friends in high places). He told me that the movie is very long (over 3 hours). That's cool cause that means it'll be exciting and action packed! I'm used to 3 hour movies cause all Indian movies are 3 hours (cause they have dancing and singing).

Miss Ireland won Miss World last Saturday...didn't get to watch it but I saw on the website. She's pretty. India made top 5 so congrats to her! And Miss China got 1st runner up, congrats to her too!

My coworker Joanne, made special treats this week and today she made this strawberry jam filled muffin with orange glaze on top. It's really yummy! I wish I could cook like her!! Maybe I'll need to borrow Dana's chocolate cookbook! Yummy!

My work had their Christmas party last nite. Yea on a Wednesday! But that's okay cause Lena can party anytime!
My boss owns a restaurant so they had it their. It was fun! There was yummy food and dancing! Dancing is always fun! I got to meet some of the people I talk to on the phone...like our Bank of America people and couple other bank people. And it was open bar! So everyone had a pretty good time. People were totally boogying down!! It was great!
And it totally felt like Friday last nite...darn it's only Thursday!

I had to miss the bachellorette's wedding last nite. Trista married Ryan! And I also missed the Billboard music awards...and Sting performed the song I like, "Send your love". If anyone saw it, how was his performance?

My weekend was pretty good. I went shopping for a while on Saturday...it took FOREVER to find parking at the mall. Me and my sister usually park near Macy's and it never takes long to find parking, yet it did. Didn't end up buying anything but the mall always makes me happy.
Oh also I went to my friend's party...he is from Sweden and him and his g/f thru a St. Lucia party at their home in Riverside. We got to try a drink called glogg and had Swedish meatballs. It was delicious! They live really close to the Mission Inn and I found out that the house they live in is 108 years old!! WOW!! Now that's old. I wonder if it's haunted??!
Then Sunday went shopping with my sister for a while...got some stuff for the house and I got a nice cute pair of pants from Kohl's. They were having a good sale and their clothes aren't bad either.

Lakers didn't do well...I'm sad. And oh my gosh Gary Payton got 2 technicals and had to leave the game! Poor guy...I was disappointed...but that's okay...kick some butt on Friday's game Lakers!!

Yesterday was my UCR ex-co-worker's birthday and she invited me out to dinner with her and another ex-co-worker of mine and couple of their new student workers. So I met them at this restaurant called Ruby's in Rowland Heights. It was yummy food! They ordered a beef plate, some shrimp dish, this sweet chicken, a vegetable dish and some noodles with some sort of seafood on it. Very yummy!

Tonite I went shopping with my sister. We want to get my little nephew a playstation game...but we don't know which game he would like. He's gonna be 8 years old next year so he's still really young. So we saw the Finding Nemo game, which I would LOVE to play haha but I don't have playstation. If anyone has suggestions on what to get a 7-year old as a PS2 game please do let me know!
Oh and what is the best place to buy it? Toy's R Us? Best Buy? Target?

I wanted to get my favorite type of candy cane tonite but it was sold out!! Wal-mart it was gone...Target it was gone. It's not the regular red/white peppermint one...it's the different colored one and sooooo yummy! Candy canes rock!!! mmmm....

Wow...those BMW 7 series are NICE!!!!!! Today 2 of my co-workers and I went out for lunch and my boss came along too. He just got a new BMW 7 series and he drove us. WOW the car talks!!! And it's so cool...we were in Lakewood and it said on the screen, Lakewood, CA Del Amo Blvd!!! And then when we changed streets, it would change the street name and then when we got to Cerritos, it said Cerritos, CA. It was pretty exact too!! And the passenger seat has a massager...wow a nice massage for your butt! And all you do it push a button and the trunk closes itself! WOW!!! Who wants to buy me one???
We ate at this Hawaiian BBQ place...I think the name was Loft something. It was delicious! I put hot sauce on the rice and yummmy!! And my boss paid too...which was nice of him.

I am usually the one who checks the mail at my work and today we got another Christmas card. Well this one came attached with a Starbucks gift cert!! AHH!! I LOVE coffee...I already asked around and they said I can have it! whooHOO!!! Thank goodness no one really loves coffee here that much! hehe

Finally a Lakers game tomorrow! I'll probably miss it but at least there is a game! A whole week without a Lakers game is a looooong week. GO LAKERS!!

Yay it's Friday. But I'm not happy. For many months now I've been experiencing dizziness a lot...and it's only gotten worse the past few weeks. Plus now I have weird headaches all over my head everyday. Sometimes throbbing on one side and sometimes throbbing (sharp) on another. And the headaches make me feel off balance. So constantly I go to the doctor and they said it's nothing, it's stress your fine. And I wish it is stress but I can't have stress, I'm only 25! So I went back to my physician and that would be like the 5th/6th visit in the past 5 months...so she said okay we'll have to get my head x-rayed (CT Scan). I'm scared...it's on Tuesday at 7:15am (the earlier the better, plus I don't want to miss work). I'm claustrophobic so it's gonna be a very hard procedure for me. But I gotta know what's wrong with me cause dizziness/headaches are not normal for a 25 year old. I just hope it's not a brain tumor...I look on the web and those are brain tumor symptoms...I'm just a lot worried that's all. Lena being overly cautious...yes yes I'm a hypochondriac but my doctor said it's okay to be. No one believes that I have these stupid symptoms...

Anyways...sorry for venting... Again, yay it's Friday...and Lakers play tonite, but it's only yucky Denver Colorado we play. Bleh, we dislike Colorado at the moment because of the case against Kobe Bryant. Poor guy, he's innocent. He made a HUGE mistake but he's learned his lesson.

Everyone is saying LOTR is good...so I really hope to see that this weekend but so much going on...my friend Niroshika is leaving for Sri Lanka for a whole month and a week! Hmmm what should I ask for! And I wanna go shopping this weekend too...I wanna try exploring a new mall...

It was so weird not hitting that much traffic on the 71 freeway this morning. People actually take the week of Christmas off too? Who knew?! haha
My weekend was good...Friday went out with some high school friends to dinner at CPK. Then Saturday my sister and her fiancee had some friends over at the house so did that and some shopping. That reminds me...I need to plan a housewarming party for my friends soon!! Then Sunday I went shopping with my sister...we went to Puente Hills Mall cause we've already been to Brea mall thousands of times...and I got cool jeans from this store called Papaya...cool clothes they have! But it's for really skinny people unfortunately.
I missed both Lakers game this past weekend...but hopefully can catch it tomorrow!! Go Lakers!!!!

So did anyone feel today's shaker? It was really small here in So Cali since it was epicentered in Central California. It was funny cause I was sitting in my bosses office...he was at his desk and I was sitting across from him and all of a sudden I felt like something was shaking (I assumed it was me moving in the chair back and forth) and then I saw the blinds on the windows move and felt the floor shake a little, sway kind of. Again I assumed (since our building is old everytime someone walks, it feels like an earthquake) that it was just someone walking hard. But then it didn't stop so I told my boss, I think we're having an earthquake and he's like no of course not...and then my other co-worker comes in and says did you feel it? haha
My sister works on the 29th floor in a building in Downtown LA and she called me and told me that they had to go down 29 flights of stairs to the bottom cause they felt the swaying a lot up on her floor and they didn't know if it was a earthquake or if it was a terror attack. It's scary the fear we have to live in cause of these terror attacks!!

Lakers play Warriors tomorrow nite and Thursday they play Houston Rockets. Go Lakers!!!

Well I hope everyone is having a great day off. Unfortunately I have to go to work tomorrow...but *hopefully* it'll be a short day and I can leave early cause I gotta get home in time to drive back out to LA! And I have a feeling there won't be traffic in the morning but in the afternoon there will be.

So yesterday nite my family had a get-together. It was a lot of fun! My niece Anuja (she's around 18 years old), made a really cool powerpoint presentation of old family pictures. It was great! And fun watching them. Then we had dinner...yummy Indian food...mmmm and then did our gift exchange (a secret santa type gift exchange). My niece Anuja had my name and got me this cool jacket and green shirt and nail polish! The best moment was when my little nephew (he's 7) opened his gift. I got his name and got him 2 gifts. Just the look on his face was priceless.

Now I'm watching Laker game...please win Lakers!! And I'm sooo excited about tomorrow nite's dinner and Phuong's wedding, I could really use two nites of friends!

It was such a nice weekend! I was sad to see it go. Friday I had to go to work but I left earlier than normal so that was nice! Then I rushed home, changed and went to my friend Sze Wan's house to carpool with her and Jeff. We then drove out to a restaurant called White Lotus in Hollywood. The food was really expensive but it was a really good time so it doesn't matter. Plus I tried something new, it's called halibut and it was yummy! Afterwards some of us went dancing in the nightclub and it was fun! I got so excited cause they played a punjabi (Indian) song and it's so much fun to dance to that music!! And the coolest thing was the artist formerly known as Prince was there! But he had a girl sitting on his lap the whole time, even when he went into some VIP room. But it was still exciting seeing a star!

Saturday I went shopping with my sister to get some stuff and then came home and got ready for Phuong's wedding. It was at this really nice restaurant and the hall was decorated beautifully! Phuong and John looked both beautiful and handsome. I hope they are enjoying their honeymoon! I had such a good time talking with my friends and oh my gosh we tried the most coolest and interesting new food! I tried (for the first time) lobster, sea cucumber, alimony, and fish (I've had salmon before) but this was a real fish, like a real fish...it had a tail...and the cake was deeelicious!
The paparrazi were really out there clicking pictures all nite and I'm glad cause I forgot my camera at home. So thank you for everyone who took pictures and a big thank you to Sze Wan! My friends all looked like babes!

Can you believe this year is almost over?! Wow that was a fast year. Ah we're just getting older! No good!! haha I don't have any plans yet for tonite but hopefully I'll do something fun...my nieces are going to a club out in Hollywood so I *might* go there, the only problem is it's VERY expensive! But it sounds fun!

I have still yet to see Lord of the Rings! Seems like everyone I know has seen it and I'm left...darn!! So I'm gonna try and see it this weekend.

Last nite I met up with a friend who's down here from New Jersey...we had dinner and then went to Dave and Busters to play pool but it was too crowded so we ended up just sitting at the bar. I had a virgin pina colada...yumm that's a VERY yummy drink! My friend had this really pretty drink...it had some pina colada (pineapple) and strawberry mix...but his was alcoholic.

This morning no traffic going to work...gosh that's been a whole week with no traffic!! It was beautiful!! I'm gonna miss it when I hit traffic again starting Monday...and now they got rid of the coolest radio station that was here (103.1 KDL). AHH!! I can't believe it's gone!!! They had the BEST music!!
