My Halloween was just OK this year. I was so excited to pass out candy to little kids, so I wanted to sneak out of work by 4 or 4:30 cause I knew there would be traffic, but right at 4pm, one of my bosses said oh Lena you need to go to the accountants office and pick up the paycheks! AHH!! Darn! The accountants office isn't far but with traffic I wouldn't get back till near 5pm! And it wasn't even for my paycheck. So I got back and left work at 5:10. I got home at around 7:40!! 2 1/2 hours to get home!! Traffic sucked!! So I missed all the kids cause I guess they came early cause it was supposed to rain. My sister got home early and said so many kids came by. I was disappointed. Oh well!

Today my sister's fiancee's aunt came over and helped us organize our kitchen. I helped put in contact paper...it was tedious but interesting. haha

Then tonite I picked up my friend Rochak from LAX. He came back from India. He brought me & my sister some cool stuff! I'm a postcard collector so he got some cool postcards from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia cause that was one of his stops. He also got my sister some cool decorative pieces for our new house. I also saw pix from his trip as well as his engagement pictures. Congrats to him!!

Whoohoo sleep in tomorrow!!!

I woke up this morning and what was in my bathroom, an ugly looking daddy long legs on the ceiling of the shower! I was so mad cause I clean that bathroom so much yet the stupid spider still found it's way! I was so scared (I'm very very VERY arachnophobic). My sister was just waking up too so I made her hurt it for me. Spiders suck! How do I get rid of them?!!

It's cool that we got rain today but I'm starting to miss the sun! haha I hate it because after you walk in rain, then you have to step inside your car and the carpet gets all wet and yucky. But otherwise, it is a nice change to see some rain. I hope it's sunny tomorrow though!

Whoohoo Lakers are 3-0!!! GO LAKERS!! And Fisher had some awesome shots last night against the Golden State Warriors.

I'm excited cause Lakers play Spurs on Thursday. Lakers will beat Spur butt!! Spurs were the champions last year, but Lakers will be this year!

Today Washington Mutual Home Loans took my company to Macaroni Grill for a business luncheon. It was yummy and the best part was we could order anything for free! So my boss and the lady from Wamu ordered wine and so did a couple other people, it was the house wine called Chianti. My co-worker said to try some and I did and it was yummy! So I got a glass too, hey it was free too! hehe My boss said to me, take some wine and I'm like I already have some. So I had coke and wine. Though I only drank half my glass. It's kinda a weird taste in your mouth but not bad. Something new!

There's a Laker game today and I have to miss it cause it starts at 5pm darn! They are playing Milwaukee Bucks today. Thursday's game I better not miss!

Geez, some people just wake up on the wrong side of the bed! I mean a lot of us dread going to work, but don't try and ruin the mood of other people. This morning I got to my work area and stopped at the gas station. When I was done I was pulling out and I had to make a right to get to the exit and I looked and made sure there was no car, and there wasn't so I started turning, and out comes a lady in a Ford Explorer type of car honking at me! So I just made a right at the street and at the signal continued going straight. Well she made a right too and went straight. So the 2 lanes merge ahead and she was trying to pass me, even though she was still going about my speed (40 miles/hour) and she didn't pass me. So then at the next signal, I had to make a right. She made a right too, but when I was making my right I had to yield to the car coming straight and she honked at me!! So then there were 2 lanes on the next street and she was on the other lane trying to pass me but then a van pulled out and she had to come behind me. So when we reached the signal, she pulled out a paper and pen and looked at the rear of my car (I was looking at her thru my rear view mirror) and she started scribbling something. So then she crept closer behind me and looked again at the rear of my car and scribbled something down. So I'm scared that she wrote down my license...but why would she do that? What is her problem?! So then I went straight and she made a right, thank goodness!! I feel bad for the people who work with her.

Today the traffic was kinda bad on the freeway merge, so I was reading my book. I still haven't finished the 5th Harry Potter so I'm still reading it and it's so good! So since the traffic was stop & go stop & go, I read during the stops. I know thats bad hehe but I'm very careful.

Well that was one tense game huh? But I was kinda disappointed cause the Lakers should have nailed that game from the very beginning seeing Tim Duncan and Tony Parker were both out. Nevertheless, they won!

Also, my Fisher didn't do his best either. He did make an important shot but missed some 3-pointers too! Poor guy...he'll do better next time. My sister's fiancee (biggest Laker fan I know) says they are going to trade him in mid-season. I'm worried!!

I think the Lakers are still getting use to playing with the new guys. Plus Kobe missed all of training camp.

And oh my gosh, I was so mad at Horry for making that 3-point shot! Ahh!! Why couldn't he have just done that last season!!! Him and his critical 3-pointers...haha
If he was a true Laker, he wouldn't have left. Someone told me he left cause he was afraid of getting the blame for missing that critical 3-pointer in the finals last season against the Spurs. Well also cause they offered him more money too! He looked so weird in a Spurs outfit. It was cool how the Lakers at the end of the game came and met him and hugged him.

This past weekend I went to San Jose, CA with my sister & her fiancee. I wasn't planning on going, but Thursday nite my sister's fiancee said we could use more help and I'm like ok fine. His mom, sister, her husband and their kid live up there so we went to stay at their house. Except the sister and her husband and kid went to Las Vegas to visit the husband's brother so they needed my help. We took their extra refrigerator in a pick up truck and brought it down yesterday. We also took their dining table (they are buying a new one), some bar stools and a wine rack. Score!! haha lots of good stuff!

Saturday my sister wanted to go to Berkeley to see the Indian stores out there and look at the outfits cause her wedding is coming up (on May 30th) and we need to buy new outfits and So. Cali is so expensive. Well Berkeley wasn't any better. But at least now we know.

Northern Cali got a lot of rain this weekend. It rained all nite Saturday (with thunder & lightning) and in the morning Sunday. While driving home yesterday on the 5, we saw lightning in the east skies (probably near Fresno/Bakersfield) and it was cooL!! Cause you could actually see the lightning cracks.

It was funny cause we bring this refrigerator all the way down from San Jose and it was darn heavy and we get home and try and take it in the house and it won't get in! It's too big to fit thru the backyard kitchen door and that's a pretty big door...so we have to take the door off sometime this week. What a hassle! But it's a nice fridge!

Oh and while up north, Saturday nite we saw this Indian movie with my sister's fiancee's mom called
Koi...Mil Gaya (which translates to found someone, referring to a relationship). It's the first sci-fi movie India has done. It was entertaining and some parts just made us crack up cause there was an alien (kinda like ET the movie) and the alien spoke Hindi and danced to Indian songs! hehe It was hilarious!!!

It only took me 40 minutes to get to work today, wow! Though I would have preferred to stay at home like a lot of other people today. Most mortgage companies should have Veteren's Day off but not us. Sucks!! Ah well, at least my boss and the VP aren't here. WHoohoo!!

Man can you believe Lakers lost again last nite? You know, they will be back home Wednesday and will get better...maybe they are just tired of sleeping in hotel beds. Seriously though their defense sucked last nite. And Payton is playing with a sprained ankle.

Today has been a loooong day. Can it get any longer? Work is very very slow nowadays. Especially today with the banks being off, we aren't getting much done. Mortgage companies are supposed to have today off but my boss is weird and makes us work. He wants us to work day after Thanksgiving, but we're all not gonna show up.

On Sunday my sister spotted a skunk on our front porch and ever since I've been a little cautious about opening the garage and going inside the house. I hate skunks...they are supposed to be away from Lena! I remember seeing them all the time in Riverside but why Chino Hills?!? Ah well, I hear moth balls detract skunks. Or maybe I should just spray a bunch of my perfume everywhere, they probably hate smelling good! haha

Today I was late to work cause I had to go with my sister's fiancee to pick up the sofas he ordered. The warehouse was in Fontana so we went there and it was raining so that kinda sucked but luckily, it only drizzled on the way back and the sofas were covered in plastic. It's a baige colored sofa & love seat, really comfy so I'm excited!!
It's from Jennifer Convertibles and I find that name so hilarious cause they don't sell convertibles, they sell sofa beds...haha!!

I met 2 friends for dinner last nite at a Thai place. I just love Thai food. I had the green curry chicken spicy! That's one of my favorite dishes and of course can't forget Thai iced tea!
One place in Riverside, called Thai Bay, they give free refills (unlimited) Thai iced tea! Me and my 1 friend love that place for that!! yummy!!!

Yesterday as I was driving home from work, I decided to stop off at this Yorba Linda shopping plaza and go to some stores. On the way out I saw a Borders and I was craving coffee cause it was cold and rainy outside and it sounded yummy. I asked for something white chocolate and they had something with white chocolate with an orange tang in it so I thought oh something new. Well I ended up not liking it, so I was disappointed. Ah well, something new!!

Yesterday it rained so much! Not really that much in my work area, but on the drive home it did for a while. I LOVE driving in rain, it's such a challenge!! Especially with thunder and lightning. I wish it hailed!! And today is such a beautiful day. From my house you can see the mountains and they are snow packed. WOW!!

It's funny cause yesterday Lakers played the Toronto Raptors and in hockey the Mighty Ducks played the Toronto team (Roland I know that only b/c my co-worker went to the game), and then Kings play Toronto tonite...so it's a Toronto week here. Lakers and Ducks won so when Kings win, whoohoo, we beat them!

Even though Monday's aren't the funnest days, I'll make the most of it.
My weekend was good. Saturday went to IKEA in West Covina and it's HUGE! It's nice too...it kinda looks exactly like the one I went to in Palo Alto up north. Me and my sister bought some small stuff for the house, nothing big. I wanna get a desk for my room but I didn't like anything there. Then Saturday nite I met up with a friend and saw Matrix 3. It was better than the second one for sure, but not as good as Matrix 1. The effects were real cool though! How in the world do they do all that?!

Lakers did well this weekend too! They won on Friday against the Detroit Pistons and last nite against the Miami Heat. Miami Heat is the worst scoring team in the NBA at the moment, so yesterday's game wasn't all that exciting. And Lakers won with no difficulties at all! WhoohoO!!

I haven't been feeling all that well lately and even today I don't feel that good. I think I need to take a vacation!! haha I wish!!

Did anyone watch the Bachelor last nite? I was surprised...I was thinking he would pick Kelly Jo. And he ended up picking Estella. I kinda thought him and Kelly Jo were getting along more...ah well, Estella is pretty too! But he didn't propose...so hmmm....I wonder if they'll end up calling it off just like the 2nd bachelor did.

I kinda wanted to see the Victoria's Secret fashion show cause I really wanted to see Sting perform. I just LOVE his new song, "Send your Love". And I was lucky! During a commercial during The Bachelor, I switched to the fashion show and right then Sting started performing that song!! YAY!! I need to get his new CD. They say if you spend more than $40 at Victoria's Secret, you get the Sting CD (well the songs he sang at the fashion show) for free!! Ah! I might as well just buy the CD huh?

I'm looking forward to this weekend cause I'll get to see my friends on Saturday nite!! WhoohOO!!

And Lakers won yesterday!! I didn't make it home in time to watch most of the game, just the last quarter and I saw they were shooting pretty well. They are still the best team in the Western Conference!!

It's so nice waking up on a Monday morning knowing that we only have to work 3 days! Well I might have to work Friday, not sure yet...the market is slow right now and we don't have that much work anyways, so *hopefully* no work! (cross your fingers!!)

My weekend was good. Friday I had to go to my bosses Indian restaurant for a NetIP meeting. NetIP stands for Network of Indian Professionals. So basically it's for anyone who is working in any field above 21 years of age (cause usually you graduate college around 21/22). So basically young people, in their 20's and early 30's go to these meetings. It's supposed to help you get to know new people and do fun stuff together and sometimes ends up turning out to be a hookup fest. I went for the first time and I took a friend with me cause he's been wanting to meet new people. It's a good network connection too! We had a pretty good time but no one really mingles that much, everyone just glues themselves to people they already know. I think they needed an ice breaker.

Saturday me and my sister went to Artesia where they have a bunch of Indian stores. I got some new Indian CD's. YAY!!
Then Saturday nite went to dinner for my good friend Dana's birthday. Then we went bowling but I had to leave early cause I wasn't feeling well at all. So I missed out on bowling. But I had a good time seeing my friends! Can't wait till the next birthday!!

Eww....I feel so yucky in my throat right now. I went to drop off something at our escrow company and sometimes when I'm real thirsty I get a soda from the donut shop next to the escrow office. So today I went and got a soda...I've been getting their sodas for over 4 months now cause it's really good and cheap and they have yummy crushed ice! Well today I got one and when I was done with the soda, I opened the lid to eat the ice and there were ants inside the cup!!!!! Eh! I was disgusted!! I hope I don't have ants growing in my stomach now!!! Ants don't make you sick right?

Wow this morning I got to work in 45 minutes! There was barely any traffic...so I got to work and sat in my car reading my Harry Potter book...I still haven't finished the 5th one, it's just so long...but sooooo addicting!! I can't wait to see what's gonna happen!!!
I know though tonite driving home I'm gonna hit loads of traffic.

Last nite I wanted to watch an Indian music video DVD that I bought and I put it in my DVD player and it didn't work! I was mad cause I was real excited to watch it. I got it for a good price, it was only $9.99. So I'm gonna take it back today...and cross my fingers that they give me a refund!

I'm working on my company's Christmas party flyer right now...I told my boss to invite a lot of cute guys for me!!! hehe It's on a Wednesday which sucks cause the next day we have to come to work...ah well it's free food and drinks and dancing!!
